Taxes

When one party has control it can raise taxes whenever it wants to! Those tax increases are necessary to pay for all the new bureaucracies they have created.

Why is it so expensive to live in Minnesota? Because Minnesota has some of the highest taxes in the country! Here are the taxes Minnesotans pay.

Income tax rates

  1. $0 – $39,410              5.35%
  2. $39,410 – $156,570   6.80%
  3. $156,570 – $273,470 7.85%
  4. $273,470                   9.85%

The 9.85% tax rate makes Minnesota have the fourth-highest income tax rate in the country. There are seven states with no income tax and eighteen states whose highest tax rate is lower than Minnesota’s lowest rate of 5.35%. Then if add in the regressive taxes of the sale and excise tax (taxes on tobacco, alcohol, and gasoline) that is why Minnesota is a very expensive place to live! When one party has control it can raise taxes whenever it wants to! Are all those taxes are necessary?
